The gilding metal jacket, specially designed lead core and polymer tip combine to initiate expansion from the inside out and cause rapid fragmentation of the V-MAX bullet. The brass is chosen to ensure that it meets high Hornady standards for reliable feeding, corrosion resistance, proper hardness, and the ability to withstand maximum chamber pressures. Each powder and primer are carefully selected to provide the best performance for each load.
